Fleetwood Market: Once one of the biggest fishing docks in the UK, Fleetwood still has a fishing industry and rich heritage, which can be seen all over the town. From the bronze sculpture on the promenade to welcome sailors home, to the fish processing works, still active docks, marina and two lighthouses on the seafront. In contrast to the grand Victorian houses, you’ll also find rows of pretty fishermans cottages, painted in pastel colours. There’s plenty for the shoppers among you at Fleetwood with high street shopping, the large market and the Freeport shopping village.
