The Postal Museum brings together fascinating exhibitions and unveils the mysterious Mail Rail to the public for the first time.

Journey through five-centuries of world-class curiosities that changed the world. From global innovations and crackpot schemes to pirates and highwaymen, find out how the world’s first social network kept us all in touch.

Board a miniature train and travel back in time through the narrow underground tunnels of Mail Rail on a 20 minute interactive ride. Pass through original station platforms and see then come to life as you sneak a glimpse into the heyday of this century old railway.  

Explore the Postal Museum galleries, which provide a spectacular and previously unseen view on some of the world’s most significant events and the role that the postal service played.

Whilst at the museum, you will have the opportunity to descend 70ft underground on the Mail Rail – the 100 year old little-known Post Office railway for a 20 minute immersive experience.

Following you time at the museum, take a 2 minute walk to lunch where you will be served two courses with tea or coffee.
