There are a number of interesting historic facts and figures associated with Moreton-in-Marsh, not least that, reputedly King Charles I slept at The White Hart Inn in 1642. The Redesdale Market Hall dominates the main thoroughfare and is still used today for antique fairs and flea markets with its steeply pitched roof and attractive and distinctive clock turret.
The Curfew Tower is one of the few surviving in Britain and at its base is housed of this tower is the old town lock-up.
