Restoration began when the present owner, Penny Streeter OBE, acquired the estate in 2017. Penny and her team are dedicated to restoring, maintaining and further improving the gardens and buildings, so that the public can once again experience their beauty and special qualities.

Wide selections of refreshments are available from our new restaurants and tea rooms. Our high-end dining and afternoon teas are served in the Mansion House and casual fare is served in the Clockhouse and other food stations throughout the gardens.
Visitors can explore a wide range of features including the elegant 19th-century Italianate-style Mansion House, listed Grade II for architectural merit, the unique dolls’ house exhibition – and the rare colony of wallabies, wildfowl and huge carp in the seven ponds.
