Staying at the 4* Shire North Lakes Hotel & Spa situated near to Penrith. Bar, lounge and restaurant and spa facilities.
* Keswick & Grasmere:
* Keswick; this large lakeside town has plenty to offer including the Pencil Museum. We also visit Grasmere home of Dove Cottage and William Wordsworth.
* Penrith; was once the capital of Cumbria. The attractive town is the hub of the Eden Valley. It is now an important shopping centre, with a good mix of traditional shops and sophisticated arcades. Leading off Penrith’s main streets are many old yard entrances with interesting inscriptions on the lintels
* A day to remember, coach to Lake Windermere then board the minibuses for a tour around the remote Western Lake District over the famous Wrynose and Hardknott passes, the steepest in England. Unbelievable scenery followed by a ride on the miniature railway called Ratty or spend the day on or around Lake Windermere.
